The 2012 BET Honors was an illustrious affair that acknowledged the accomplishments of some phenomenal artists. The First Lady Michelle Obama, brought this award ceremony to a whole new level when she made an appearance to present a much deserved honor to Mya Angelou. Her appearance was no doubt the highlight of the event and Michelle didn't disappoint, especially with her choice of fashion. She rocked a regal red, one shoulder dress and cut an amazing silhouette. She even overshadowed her much younger co-host Gabrielle Union (pictured below).
Mariah Carey, Stevie Wonder and Spike Lee were among some of the other black artists to be honored on the night. I have to agree with the others who have commented that there was some beautiful fashion that came out of this evening. Here are some of the fashion highlights...
